Annual Lecture Series

The Curtin Annual Human Rights Lecture, established in 2016, is a key initiative for the Centre for Human Rights Education.
The inaugural Human Rights Lecture was delivered by Professor Gillian Triggs in 2016, by Dr Waleed Aly in 2017, the Hon Michael Kirby AC CMG in 2018, Behrouz Boochani delivered the lecture from Manus Island in 2019, Dean Adrien K. Wing presented the lecture from the United States in 2020, and Emeritus Professor Judy Atkinson AM delivered the lecture from Bundjalong Country in 2021.

The Centre for Human Rights Education organises research seminars to allow for the dissemination and communication of our research and advocacy to the broader university and wider community.
